Sports Events in Jersey

Jersey is a major destination for sports events, drawing sport fans and competitors to high profile events all year round. International Motoring Festival, June 2010

The largest motoring event in the Channel Islands with a focus on Jersey's glorious and pioneering days of motor sport emanating from the famous Jersey International Road Races of the 40's and 50's. Sprints, hill climbs, treasure hunts, cavalcades and static displays give participants and spectators the opportunity to come together in an extravaganza of motoring from yesteryear. This event will take place on Victoria Avenue, 5 minutes walk away from our hotel.

Jersey has a strong cultural identity, and its calendar of sports events reflects the island's pride in its achievements, which it delights in sharing with visitors. Anyone can take part in the Jersey Marathon, which takes place each October and sees competitors cross varied terrain, including traffic controlled roads and tranquil country lanes. Jersey Marathon runners compete for cash prizes and trophies, while also raising money for charitable causes.

With other events, including the Jersey International Tennis tournament and the Jersey Sports Association for the Disabled Games, Jersey is an excellent destination for active sporting breaks, whether you're taking part or cheering on the winning team.
